Recently learned in the California 2019 Building Performance Standards. From January 1, 2020, residential photovoltaic solar systems will be mandatory for new single-family homes or apartments under three floors below the state of California. This regulation is part of the California State Council's building energy efficiency standards for 2019. Mainly to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and make the environment better.
According to relevant surveys, more than two-thirds of American adults support the mandatory installation of photovoltaic solar systems for all new homes nationwide. In California, about 15,000 new homes are added each year to install photovoltaic solar systems. In the old houses, 105,000 households will install photovoltaic solar systems every year. From 2020 onwards, the number of solar installations installed in California every year will increase rapidly from the previous 15,000 to 80,000.
According to the California Energy Commission, mandatory installation of solar PV systems would increase the cost of an ordinary new home by about $9,500. However, he will increase his income by 19,000 dollars in the next 30 years.
